Easy ways to save extra money on car insurance?

<< Auto Insurance Quotes - The Good, The Bad, The UGLY  As far as compensation is concerned, what's the best car insurance company there is (within USA) ? >>

i am looking at buying a evo ix (for those who don’t know, it is the quickest car under 50K) and i am just wondering how to save some money on car insurance. should i be listed as a part-time driver with a parent, as i am only 20 yrs old. ????
I work at an insurance agency. Your best bet is to be on your parents’ policy (but this is only possible if you still live with them). If you are still in college, having a B or 3.0 average or above might qualify you for a good student discount. Higher deductibles will pull in a lower premium, but you’ll have to pay out more in the event of a claim. Keep a good driving record – no speeding or accidents.

Being listed as a part time drive is probably the only way
that you will get your insurance cheaper.

I heard that this is the last year for the EVO (my youngest
son wants one) Great car and superb handling.

Be careful, the last thing your parents want is to bury one
of their kids, please remember that when you are cruising
    around.

your best bet would be to ask your parents to get a quote with thier company to see how much it would be to add you on….it might be cheaper..tell them that you would only be driving the vehicle about 5 miles one way and stay with your parents for at least 6 months or even a year..then when you branch off to your own company or own policy, you would have had prior insurance history and just about all insurance companies offer a discount for having prior insurance history..

and just thought i would add…i thought the STI was the fastest car under 50k..???
